We have developed the yearly Starcraft website since 2002. In 2006, Starcraft wanted to make some major changes to the Showroom and Online Apparel Store. They also wanted to incorporate a Kids Club that would be targeted to a younger audience than their typical customer.
With over 15,000 unique visitors/month and 100,000+ page views/month this was a very high profile project that required special attention to speed and usability.
Content Management System
We developed a custom CMS that enables Starcraft staff to manage all aspects of the website. They are able to easily add/edit/remove boats from the showroom, manage apparel, upload new images, view user signups, manage news and calendar, and modify images on the home page.
2006 Showroom Updates
We revamped the database for 2006 to include new enhancements to their product line and also add historical models.
Online Apparel Store (the Apparel Store is now offline)
This section of the website allows users to purchase Starcraft branded apparel. We developed a secure shopping cart and checkout system that is simple and easy to use. The CMS enables Starcraft to manage all products and view all orders.
Starcraft Kids Club
The Kids Club is an entire flash website that features games, wallpaper downloads, and e-cards. We developed 3 custom flash games; boat racing, wakeboarding and fishing. These flash games were developed through constant interaction between our designers and Starcraft's marketing team. When they sign-up online, kids instantly become members of the Starcraft Kids Club. In addition to using the online Kids Club website, they can participate in Coloring Contests and other opportunities that Starcraft presents throughout the year.
